HOW TO REMOVE BLACKBERRY 10 ANTI THEFT PROTECTION

It is no longer a news that BB 10 unlike Iphones that has "I-cloud", has something called "Anti-Theft" to help wipe or block your device if stolen...

But reverse is the case, maybe not stolen but you forgot your password and wants to bypass it, ease your apprehension For  In this brief guide, powered by sleader I’ll be explaining to you how you  bypass or remove the Anti-theft protection on your Blackberry 10 device in case you never set such or you forgot your login credentials.

The Anti-theft protection is a security feature which is meant to help you track, block or wipe your Blackberry 10 device if it gets lost or stolen.

Disclaimer! This guide assumes the device in question is not stolen. You are entirely responsible for whatever you do with this piece of information.
With the release of BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3.2, your privacy and security are further enhanced with the introduction of Anti-Theft Protection within BlackBerry Protect.
Provided you have confirmed your BlackBerry ID, Anti-Theft Protection associates your BlackBerry ID with your device, and provides you with the ability to disable your device using a new Flag as Stolen option.
When used, Flag as Stolen will erase your device memory and disable your device, unless the BlackBerry ID which was used to setup the device originally with Anti-Theft Protection, is entered on the device.
In other words, unless your device is returned to you, no one else will be able to setup the device again since they do not know your BlackBerry ID credentials.
It was said you cant downgrade to 10.3.1 but i was able to discover Q10 10.3.1 that support all bb10 model with 10.3.2.2639 to downgrade.

  1. Flash any of your bb10 with your model autoloader (original bb os for your model) you downloaded Under download (2).
  2. Flash your blackberry with autoloader Q10_10.3.01.2267_SQN100-1-2-3-4-5.exe you downloaded.( under download 1)
  3.  After that setup your blackberry with your new id and start using your phone or you can factory reset your phone there after if you want.
  4. You can Reflash you BB10 with your orignal os 10.3.2.2876(optional)
Note: if relock again after step 3 flash with step 2 and enjoy your blackberry.
Tested with blackberry passport, z10 stl-3, q10,q5 and blackberry classic.

      when you say not opening...does it bounce back when u open? if yes! which windows are you using?... try restarting your system or try in another system thanks

    TheftLock reappears after i flasch Z10 10.3.2.2876 STL100-2/3/4 - even if i setup an account while Q10 10.3.1 is installed. Anyway to get back to the original and latest Firmware after the Q10 Flash?

      Flash with your original firmware and re flash with the downloaded anti-theft firmware

      Hi Stephen,

      thanks for the info. I already did that step as following:
      1. Flashd with original FW
      2. Flashd with Q10 FW >Theft Lock gone
      3. Reflash/Update to latest original FW via Autoloader from your link or OnlineUpdate via WIFI >Theft Lock reappears

      Am I missing somethig out here? Or am I not able to upgrade to the original, latest FW for the TheftLock to stay removed aka. The Q10 FW in this Version will be the Last FW the Z10 will ever see again?

      something close to that is what it seems,....there is another method of the clean unlock where you can now upgrade to latest version when ever u want to,...but for now reflashing your original autoloader will make the anti-theft re-appear...

      Hello, I am too stuck at the lock after the last step. It seems that the latest upgrade "Z10_10.3.02.2876_STL100-2-3.exe" triggers again the lock.

    I followed the instructions on a classic and it works (I can use the phone now)...but I have a problem: the android runtime does not work (I can't open amazon store or use apps that I installed using apks directly). Why is the case? (I re-flashed several times and never worked)

      that the little bug with the anti theft file...try re-flashing with your original firmware.... if re-locks flash back the anti theft file...if persist then just be patient....working on a clean anti-theft remove....Thanks

    I have been using Blackberry z10 since March-2015.To avoid automatic background working and draining the battery by BBM i deleted the BB-ID.Few day ago i upgraded my BlackBerry z10 to new version OS 10.3.2. and then i tried to sign in to Blackberry ID through my phone but it says"You can't sign in with a different Blackberry ID on this device. Sign in with the original Blackberry ID used on this device". For creating a new BB-ID i wiped my phone using Blackberry Link, However i didn't turn protect blackberry off.Now i stuck at enter BlackBerry Id. When i typed my Id username i used before on my BlackBerry ,it feedback" Please sign in with the BlackBerry id that was used to set up this device " . so kindly suggest me a solution

      what possibly could be the problem is that you might have forgotten the id or password you used...{remember Case sensitive} but if u are sure of the email then you can use password recovery option so you can get a new password...or better still you can download the anti theft file remove so you can bypass the activation screen...thanks

    The anti-locking works like a charm. But when unlocked, I cannot upgrade to the latest OS OTA or through BB Link. When I use autoloader to upgrade to latest version, the anti-theft feature pops up again. Please help. I cannot use Amazon app store and other android apps.

    hai bro, i accidentally entered a wrong when i was trying to change to my new email i typed in a wrong number at the end and unfortunately for me the email exists, so i wiped and updated it but the problem still came back saying i need to enter the email that the device was registered with when i put my old one it still says the same thing, do i need to flash my phone or there is something else i can do? i doubt the email has been confirmed and it has already been a week

    Trying to do this with a Z10 STL100-3. We (my husband and I) already tried the Flash "Z10 STL100-2/3/4". That did not work. Now (twice within 20 minutes) we have tried Flash "Z10 STL100-1". Both steps 1 and 2 have worked and completed. But after step 2 was completed the first time the phone would not and still will not turn on. Help.

    sorry for out of topic post,
    so i have a problem with my Q10,
    after installing OS : "SQN100-3.Q10.BB10_3_3.10.3.3.498"
    my device isn't charge, gallery menu dissapear, calculator menu is gone, and some of application doesn't instaled properly..
    so i decided to back where there only peace on my device lol
    but i had problem with downgrade,
    when i tried to downgrade with "Q10_10.3.02.2876_SQN100-1-2-3-4-5"
    the process always stop and auto closed the process,
    it show sentence before autoloader command windows closed :

    Error : Failed to load images.
    Error : This OS version is blocked from the devices.

    hope you can help me fix this problem, thank you so much..

      ok go through the tutorial keenly... but make sure u have installed blackberry Link on your computer.. then download the anti theft file for your phone...Open the file then connect your phone ... allow till its done your phone will reboot automatically and you are done.. thanks

      sign in with you own blackberry ID then upgrade to the latest version... if Anti theft appears just use your own blackberry id to login

      for now no fix for bb 10.3.3 so please don't upgrade if you have bypassed anti theft from this site... stay tuned we will get you informed when there is a fix

    Hello,

    I downloaded the Autoload-STL100-2-10.3.1.997 to remove the anti theft on my z10 and I followed the steps as you highlighted; my z10 restarted immediately the autoload finish running but my phone got stuck at blackberry logo and could not load again.

    I tried to connect the phone to blackberry link but it can't be detected on blackberry link.

    Please help

      if you don't know the password then go ahead with the security wipe... download the anti theft file remove above and flash it...
